Welcome to the Race!

Welcome to Automotive Engineering! You are now part of the most exciting STEM class in the Elro community! Automotive Engineering is a project-based course that uses a hands-on
Roosevelt Racers 2017 National Car
approach to introduce engineering design and manufacturing in the automobile industry. You will be exposed to a spectrum of engineering practices: from research, design, and simulation, to manufacturing, assembling, and testing. In addition to the engineering curriculum, there is also entrepreneurship training, with subtopics including leadership, project management, budgeting, funding, and marketing (branding and identity design) in the context of tech startups.

Roosevelt Racers 2019 National Car

The course provides practical training to develop the necessary skills to compete in the F1-in-Schools (FiS) STEM Challenge – a major international and national competitions within the STEM field available to high school students.

2019 STEM Project Showcase
The course will culminate in an annual STEM school event, STEM Project Showcase, in which students are given the opportunity to present their projects to the entire school. Aside from school-wide presentations, advanced teams with proper funding and support may also qualify for regional and national competitions and race against teams around the country!
